Our first meeting is a complimentary consultation in your home — or over video, if that’s easier — where we do more listening than talking. We want to understand how you use the space now, what’s not working, and what you’d love it to be.

Because we specialize in older Twin Cities homes, we’re also reading the house while we’re there: where the load-bearing walls are, how the original layout fights the way you want to live, and what the era of the home will and won’t allow. If you don’t have a budget yet, we’ll help you find the range you’re comfortable investing — honestly, and without pressure.

From there we take initial measurements and photos, put together a project-planning questionnaire, and sketch the space. Sometimes it takes more than one visit to know we’re the right fit for your project.
