Let in the light…

The first thing you notice in this home is how full of light it is—everything from the bright stained glass windows to how the light falls down the spiral staircase from the open attic due to the plentiful skylights. The homeowners hired Prima Construction to bring in some deep, vibrant colors to a double bathroom remodel while staying true to the home's original 1905 heritage. While the upstairs bathroom took on a more clean, modern feel, the main-floor bathroom was restored to a more traditional atmosphere. These projects mix new technologies like a new sleek radiator with century-old fixtures like the original clawfoot tub.

Stop by April 3 to April 5th and we would love to give you a tour. If you are interested in experiencing your own remodel, we will have designers on site to show you what your remodel can look like in virtual reality. If you are interested you can schedule a timeslot here.

Downstairs Bathroom
A Traditional Approach

The design inspirations for the downstairs bathroom were to keep true to the traditional nature of the home. The original claw foot tub was kept but updated with gold fixtures. The original radiator was replaced with a new smaller efficient radiator. The highlight of this bathroom is the rich texture of the wallpaper and dark wainscoting as it contrasts with the white floor and gold finishes.

The upstairs bathroom uses a more transitional style with large hexagon tile and a blue/gray vanity. The black and white colors in the shower stay true to the original character of the home.
